Filmmakers, storytellers and the people couple behind Sete-Luas.

Sete-Luas was born from a simple ambition: to create the kind of wedding films we rarely saw ourselves.

Films with a story at its core that goes beyond the wedding and thats timeless and emotional.

Films with intention. Films that feel personal. Films that remain meaningful long after the wedding day has passed.

We’re André & Rita.

Stories Worth Keeping

For us, a wedding is never only about two people.

It is about family, friendships, voices, movement and all the small interactions happening around you. We want to preserve not only how the day looked, but how it felt.

Years from now, we want you to see the people you love, hear their voices and rediscover who you were at that moment in your lives.

You can hear your voices, the voices of your parents and grandparents.

You can watch someone who may now live on the other side of the world, or someone who may no longer be there, look directly into a camera and leave a message for you.

What could be more valuable than that?

Two children, a boy and a girl, are hanging upside down on a wooden fence during sunset. They are smiling and appear to be enjoying themselves.

We work quietly and observe closely, allowing things to happen naturally while stepping in when a little direction can make a moment even better.

We care about beautiful images, but never at the expense of what is real and natural.

The goal is always the same: to create something exceptional that feels entirely yours.

Our approach

Beyond Sete-Luas

Cinema came first.

It is where we learned to look, to listen, and to understand that the smallest gestures often carry the greatest weight. We both studied filmmaking, and we continue to create beyond weddings, always returning to the same fascination with people, memory and the stories we choose to keep.

Outside Sete-Luas, life is made of films, music, places we have not yet seen, our dogs: Bilbo and Maçã, and Rita’s quiet world of handmade dolls at Poppy.

Even our name comes from a story.

Sete-Luas is borrowed from Blimunda Sete-Luas, one of the central characters in José Saramago’s Memorial do Convento. A character defined, in part, by her extraordinary way of seeing what others cannot.

Perhaps that is what we are always trying to do too: look a little closer, notice what might otherwise pass unnoticed, and turn it into something worth remembering.
